How Do You Spell Opportunity?

When people ask us why we attend the Target Markets Program Administrators Association (TMPAA) Annual Summit, we tell them two things:

First, we tell them we appreciate the support the TMPAA gives to program administrators (PAs) and managing general agents (MGAs) by addressing their challenges and fostering growth in program business and by developing insurance products tailored to niche markets. More specifically, the TMPAA:

  • Facilitates connections between PAs, carriers, and service providers with their Annual Summit and their Mid-Year Meeting, which attract nearly 2,000 attendees.
  • Operates Target Programs through an online portal that helps PAs promote their programs to retail agents and brokers, enhancing their visibility.
  • Offers the Program Business Professional (PBP) designation in collaboration with The Institutes to enhance expertise.
  • Provides Target University, with courses designed to develop specialized skills for PAs.
  • Awards scholarships to students at four universities to build industry awareness and attract talent.
  • Conducts the State of Program Business Study with Zywave to provide insights into market size, trends, and opportunities.
  • Offers marketing support through Target Programs Marketing Services (TPMS), including brand development and news release services.
  • Addresses industry changes like insurtechs and cyber risks, integrating products and services to benefit members.

By providing these resources, TMPAA helps PAs thrive in a competitive market, one that manages more than $79 billion in annual premiums.

What Else?

Next, we tell them that because of our first reason, we have the opportunity to connect with the PAs and MGAs that will benefit from using our Aspire suite. We have the opportunity to exhibit, to meet new people, to see old friends, and to learn what others in the industry are doing. In addition to PAs and MGAs, that includes, program carriers, service providers, trade-media representatives, and other industry professionals. We have the opportunity to attend sessions with keynote speakers, industry panels, and breakout sessions that address underwriting, claims management, data management, AI, and other pertinent topics.

Instead of people asking us why we attend the TMPAA Annual Summit, we should ask why they don’t.

Come see us at the TMPAA Summit Scottsdale, Arizona, October 20th through the-22nd. We’ll be right here.
